JUST VAMPING

Bats roll
buzzards troll
freaks plague
your tormented soul
and we are waiting.

We dance by day
we dance by night
here to give you
such a fright
and we are waiting.

Brothers and sisters
we are waiting.
mothers and fathers
we are waiting.
sons and daughters
we are waiting.
sons of bitches
we are waiting.

Angels and whores trade places
in a moonlit masquerade

Zombies dance
without any pants

And we are waiting...
for THE NIGHT !

  21. If you wait too long, all the Halloween candy will be gone. Fortunately, the chances are good I'll buy more. I like your funny pieces, Tim. A little laughter can often do me a lot of good.

p.s.: I just read your little profile blurb and I'll have you know that I am often passionately ignorant!

  24. "Zombies dance/without any pants"??? That settles it. No Trick-or-Treating for me this year.

    So clever! I love this.

  25. KOBICO,
So happy to hear that. I'll be knocking on your door on Halloween, dressed like Pee Wee Herman! You get a pass on the passionately ignorant thing because you are often passionately brilliant as well!

    LORRAINE,
    Actually I'm a RE-GIFTER, especially at
    Christmas time!

    PATTI KEN,
Hey, that's just when trick or treating gets to be really interesting! LOL

  41. the monster mash....haha...that was my first thought...its a graveyard smash you know....a little undead in your life is not a bad thing though....grins..

  42. Bringing back the oldies--in more ways than one. You know I love the Halloween spirit in all forms--though I think there is some darkness hiding in your kandy korn--and everyone knows proper attire for the Undead includes (or doesn't)trousers which have rotted off in noisome bits--never a fashion faux-pas from you, Timo

  43. Ooooh. The repetition of the line "We are waiting" really creates an eerie feeling here. Nice job. I am waiting for that night.

  44. Laughing my ass off @ "Sons of Bitches we are waiting"

  46. Halloween's approaching! Love this time of year and the poetry it inspires..... Do ya think you could send some of those pantless zombies my way? Not sure what I'll do with 'em but if you can't beat 'em the join 'em, right?

  47. Waiting ... Halloween, bla bla bla ... Who cares ... Thousands of miles apart and knowing ... is worth the wait ... hmmm?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Actualy, there is much more of "bla bla bla" ... to my comment ... Because I'm downright petrified of the the whole Halloween thing here in North America ... There is so much blood and gore going on in the world already ... why, the heck, make this into an annual cheerful game ... I will never understand ... and if I ever meet an adult party goer hallowener on my way to work, I swear I will harm him ...

  48. Everything you write intrigues me more about you.... a luminous spirit lightening the darkness in the world...xj

  49. BRIAN: One of my favorite tunes!

HEDGEWITCH: Thanks, darlin. I try to stay on top of it, you know.

MYRNA, FESTIVALKING, BEACHANNY: Thanks so much, gals and ghouls!

JOHN: Pantless zombies seem to be in demand, so I'm starting an agency where you can hire them out for parties and stuff!

CAT: Thanks for your assessment of the poem (bla bla bla!)

JEN: THAT is truly one of the sweetest things anyone has ever said to me.
