TIMOTEO SEZ...

Whenever I find myself becoming overly concerned about someone else's behavior, beliefs, or lifestyle--that's when I know I need to put the focus back where it belongs: Looking within.

  1. Yes Yes Yes! Nicely put. And I understood every word of it!

  2. Yup, take a step back... to see where you wish to go. Looking within. _m

  3. Yes, it is much less stressful, not trying to fit a square peg into a round hole...

  4. Within is where the concern is.

The question is why are you concerned, not why are they doing, believing, or living the way they do.

  5. Well said- and thank you for your visit with me~
We live in a world with rules and regulations... moral codes of conduct, and stipulations which sometimes cause me to look at anothers "behaviors, beliefs, or lifestyles" without even glancing at their heart.
It pains me to think of the people I might have shunned, rather than simply loved, because they have a different view of how to "be".
Looking inward always helps. Thank you for this gentle reminder ♥

  7. Personally, it's precisely at that point that I challenge the Offender to a Duel but maybe that's just me.

  8. TALON,
Thanks, but sometimes people follow the word "wise" with another word! LOL

    LINDA,
So glad to hear it! You will occasionally catch me in my "straightforward" mode. :)

    MAGYAR,
You are right--it's all about perspective.

    TERI,
I still find myself trying to do that, though. If I round the corners off of the square peg, it almost seems to work!

    J. COSMO,
So right. It's real easy to get drawn into the game (fueled by the media) of forming opinions about so-and-so whom we don't even know.

    MAYDEN,
Your insight and beautiful heart leave me with my mouth hanging open. (Whoops, a fly just got in there!)

    LORRAINE,
    I am you...you are me...even though YOU don't have a beard!

    SIR PERCY,
Hey, that's one way to get a Silly Poetry Contest started!

  9. Oh, but it's so much more fun to mind someone else's business?

  10. KOBICO,
For most folks, it seems like it!
