Stay in the moment. The past will make you sad and regretful, and there's nothing you can do about it. Strive to live with integrity from this day forward, and the universe will yet reward you.
It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to stay in (and fully appreciate) the moment you're in...but it's definitely worth the effort (and the apparently awesome parting gifts). :)
What?? I thought karma, the Law of Attraction etc. said I could get anything I want?!
Also bye the bye, how are we supposed to stay in the moment if we are looking forward to a reward? Or is this one of those mystical contradictions like that Seinfeld episode where Newman gets the bike?
What do I get?
ReplyDeleteSIR PERCY,
ReplyDeleteWe have some lovely parting gifts for you...including this classic throw pillow that says "SAN DIEGO--1953" on it.
__Step ahead of the moment, away from this falseness. Lovit, Tim!
ReplyDelete__I have a coffee mug... printed on its side "Hunter's Point 1966." "?"
really? wish I can stick to this but at last, my mind refuse to cooperate and always sneaks in regrets between the now and then
ReplyDeleteI've always had trouble with this one, Tim, the sadness and regret of the past. And envy those who can do the stay in the moment part.

ReplyDeleteDOUG,
ReplyDeleteWe could add the mug to Sir Percy's parting gifts--if you could bear to part with it, that is.
LISSA,
Don't feel bad. Staying in the moment is probably the hardest thing in life to do. It's about intentions.
LINDA,
But you see the futility of going there...
TALON,
You've summed it up nicely!
Well there you go Sir, just went from a smart ass to a wise ass, I respect!
ReplyDeleteVery well said Tim, so true!
ReplyDeleteLORRAINE,
ReplyDeleteAnd I can sing the Donkey Serenade for you, too!
CINDY,
Hey, how are ya? Don't let us lose track of you!
Every time I try to live in the moment I end up doing something I regret later!

KOBICO,
ReplyDeleteBut you had such a good time, didn't you?
SIR PERCY,
You CAN get whatever you want, but the San Diego 1953 throw pillow is all you're getting from ME!
Otherwise for you, I think, you'll get your reward in heaven.(So quit thinking about it!) :)
Not all of the past makes you sad. I try to remember the good parts and gloss over the rest....tehe.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I will ever be rewarded for my behaviour no matter how much integrity I throw at it.
hear hear! wise words indeed
ReplyDeleteGYPSY,
ReplyDeleteIn your case, the behavior is its own reward! ;)
