Scintillating fiction, poetry, and commentary...snort it up your snout!
Self assurance is everything...greetings!
Especially in the face of entering a scary and uncertain world.
And we never look as good again as those classically posed shots.. haha.. pimples and all.
Yep...it's good that they retouched mine!
I know that boy. He used to drive a pale blue Thunderbird. The girls used to write love notes and stick them under his windscreen wipers:)
The girls in my town weren't so bold. Ah well, I made up for it later :)
Self assurance is vital!!
I never did that... but I didn't get to kiss the girls until later... it took some self assurance.
Some of us were late bloomers, but we made up for lost time--oh yeah.
So glad that period is over.
So meaningful... now...
I thought it was going to say something about a "wolf whistle," the way one whistles for someone good looking. Although I think we all looked old, dated for sure.
"Whistling through the graveyard" speaks to the false bravado that many of us effected as we faced an uncertain future.
Well whoever's in that picture gets my whistle. :)I'm going to go find my high school picture and post it for you.
That is ME in dat picture. I've shown you mine...now show me yours :)
I for sure will! I've lost my light for today. But tomorrow it'll be up ...
Can you provide a link to your site?
Love seeing you in your glory days! Great reminder too that we often fake the confidence we show. I seem to still be doing that on a daily basis.
Now I'm singin' that song in my head, "Glory Days" by Springsteen--lol
Hey, me think me know dat boy ... dats the one who crashed his car while rubber necking for sum girls walkin by ... smiles ... Love, cat.
